Top Backpacking Backpacks on a Budget
In my months of researching for backpacks that would not
break the bank I learned that there are a few factors to keep in mind when
choosing the best backpack for your trip.
·
Weight-
if you’re planning on backpacking, you’re already going to have to pack light
so make sure you find a bag that won’t weigh you down!
·
Size-we all know how much economic airlines like to charge for bags that don’t fit the
requirements. Ryanair’s requirement for a carryon is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. This is approximately
22in x 16in x 8 in.
·
Capacity-
this is measured in liters. I would stay around 35-40 liters so that you don’t
end up overpacking and having to pay those extra fees.
·
Price-
lets face it, one of the reasons we choose to backpack is to avoid all the
extra luggage fees. I recommend looking for something under $100 if you know
you won't be doing lots of traveling in the future. Now, if you’re a frequent
backpacker, I do recommend investing in something a little more pricy.
·
Reviews-
I swear by reviews. I don’t ever buy anything online without confidently
feeling like others have liked the product. I went through all the reviews for
the bags below and verified that others had used these bags on international
trips and recommended them.
·
Packing Boxes-
these packing boxes will definitely save you lots of time and frustration. I
couldn’t imagine having to pack and unpack every few days when traveling. These
boxes will keep you organized!
Here is the list I created. Hope it helps!
